The development of «Stolle» network started in the end of the year 2002 with small and cosy restaurant on 1st line 50, Basil Island, which is near to historical location of the German settlement in the area of Spit of Basil Island. After opening of two cafes – in Moscow and the first in Yekaterinburg, «Stolle» cafe-pie network came to the federal level.

The name - «Stolle» is the name of traditional German (Saxon) Christmas cake. Stolle is great-grandmother’s surname of cafe-pie network founder Alexander Bordyug. The assonance of great-grandmother’s surname and name of the German cake gave name the cafe-pie network, the more so as many people amplify the idea of tasty pie with one more qualitative definition – grandmother’s.

Format - «Stolle» is the cafe-pie network. Exactly pie, but not patty. Pie, as against patty, its modest younger brother, is a serious dish demanding abidance of the complicated technological process.

Interior of the cafe-pie network has much in common with interior of Russian cities of the end of XIX and beginning of XX century: oak parquetry, solid wooden doors, cast brass chandeliers, leathern sofas, natural tones facing. Melodious music and newly-baked pies flavour fill our cafe with soul and hospitality.
